Info

Our research interest is oriented toward the identification of host resistance and susceptibility factors to dengue virus infection as well as to the identification of host markers of increased progression risk from dengue fever to dengue hemorrhagic fever.

It is also of our interest to understand the pathogenesis of the severe forms of the disease, especially the mechanisms leading to plasma leakage, a hallmark of patients affected with severe dengue. It is our hope that such studies will contribute information useful to the development of specific dengue treatments.
